Network/Telecommunications Technician


Our trained technicians provide all inside cable moves, adds, changes and disconnects for telephone service and data drops. In addition, we provide related services to include research, testing and consulting.

Understand the Service
The Division of State Information Technology’s (DSIT) network technicians provide installation of Category 5, 5e, 6, coax and fiber runs throughout the State. We also provide assistance in designing, planning, reviewing and implementing telephony wiring projects. This includes building assessments to determine adequate space, HVAC, power, grounding, conduit and raceways, equipment and cable terminations; cost estimates of wire, cable, space and installation; project design; bid preparation; project management and final inspection.

  includes research, testing, consulting, trunking, routing, system upgrades, and implementation of new telecommunications products and features
  
 Telecommunication Consultation
  provides assistance with designing, planning, reviewing and implementing telecommunication projects. Includes assessing buildings for adequate space, HVAC, power, grounding, conduit and raceways, equipment and cable terminations; estimating the cost of equipment, wire, cabling, space and installation; project design, bid preparation, project management and final inspection
