Project Management Training/Certification Programs

A multi-tiered Project Management Training and Certification Program is offered by the Division of State Information Technology (DSIT). The program has been developed with input from an Advisory Council representing State agencies and colleges and universities, and is designed to ensure that a sufficient number of trained and qualified project managers are available to manage the State’s technology projects in the future. Additional professional development opportunities in project management for State or nationally certified project managers, vendors, project sponsors and senior management are also provided.

Reap the Benefits
The Project Management Training and Certification Program makes available to each agency cost-effective project management training sufficient to prepare selected staff and project leadership to effectively manage all IT projects, without regard to size or complexity, and to maintain and enhance that competence over time.

This program provides project management training opportunities for state employees, vendors, and project sponsors in the use of the tools and techniques specified in the State’s standard project management methodology, as well as, project management “best practices.”
