Virtual CIO

The Virtual CIO program is designed to assist agencies (especially small agencies) who have difficulty in attracting and maintaining a professional level of technology leadership and who may not need or be able to afford a full-time, highly skilled, technology professional.

• Personnel whose experience, IT knowledge and leadership skills qualify them to serve as CIOs
• Agencies the opportunity to acquire the services of a highly qualified technology professional for a limited number of days or hours per week dependent upon the strategic direction of the agency
• Support of a technology team rather than a single individual
• Personnel who are experienced with State architectural standards, technology “best practices,” technology project and change management, etc.
• Association with the Division of State Information Technology (DSIT) that lends credibility for technology planning and budgeting

Rates/Pricing
Generally, rates range from $85 to $125 per hour based upon the personnel assigned and agency needs.

How Am I Billed?
Virtual CIO services are billed monthly, quarterly or as requested by the customer via the Customer Care billing system using standard State processes.
