The Division of State Information Technology (DSIT) provides complete firewall services that are designed to protect private networks from threats lurking on the Internet.
  
Understand the Service
The firewall inspects every message between a private network and the Internet, examines a security policy and blocks those messages that are not authorized. In addition, firewalls can be used to partition an enterprise into smaller entities thereby reducing the risk from insider attacks. The security policy for each firewall is custom tailored to match the individual needs of each entity. Currently, DSIT provides firewall services for networks ranging in size from small entities to large enterprises containing numerous private networks.

How Am I Billed?
Firewall services are billed via the Customer Care billing system using standard State processes.
