E-mail

The Division of State Information Technology (DSIT) is pleased to include the Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration client as one of its many service features. Available through Microsoft Outlook or the Web, the Exchange client offers a messaging, collaboration, shared calendaring and task management environment.

Your Choice
The DSIT offers Exchange e-mail capabilities via:

  1. Outlook client which will allow you to check your e-mail from internal networks behind State firewalls. The Outlook client will be evaluated for current revision levels on an annual basis.

  2. Outlook Web Access for Web-based connectivity which will allow you to check your e-mail from any computer connected to the Internet utilizing a Web browser (Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher for premium client or Netscape and earlier versions of Internet Explorer for the basic client). There is no requirement for any work to be performed at the user workstation if a Web browser has already been installed.
