Content Management Server (CMS) Site Development

The Division of State Information Technology (DSIT) developed the www.SC.gov portal through a partnership with South Carolina Interactive (SCI) and one of the many services offered is a Content Management Server (CMS) at no cost to State agencies. SCI staff will host your site, assist in the initial design or create logos and train your staff to use the CMS tool.

However, if your agency doesn’t have staff available to migrate your current CMS or static Web site, Application Services staff can assist you or do the migration for you. CMS Site Development and Support services include:

• Migration of existing CMS sites to www.SC.gov
• Migration of static Web sites to www.SC.gov
• Development of new CMS site on www.SC.gov
• Maintenance of content as needed on www.SC.gov

Understand the Service
In addition to providing assistance with the migration of your site, our staff can assist in the maintenance of the content on an as needed basis after the site is up and running. To keep your site secure and current, we will use our tools to scan the site for security and other compliancy checks such as federally and State mandated Section 508. The deliverable from this service is an up-to-date and compliant Web site.

An added bonus is Application Services staff can help keep the design and navigation of your site similar to those of other State agencies; therefore, making it easier for the public to find information and helping to increase your business.

How Am I Billed?
Content Management Server Site Development and Support services are billed via the Customer Care billing system using standard State processes.
