SC Assistive Technology Advisory Committee (ATAC)

The South Carolina Assistive Technology Advisory Committee (ATAC), a technology architecture committee of the State Budget and Control Board, Division of State Information Technology (DSIT), advises the Division on:

• Methods, technology and procedures to increase information technology (IT) access in State and local governments and educational institutions for all South Carolinians.
• Ways the public, State and local governments and educational institutions might become better informed on assistive technology issues.
• Legislative and/or regulatory actions that might be necessary to provide comparable access to government information through technology for persons with disabilities.
• Electronic and IT standards that could serve to assist members of  the public, State and local government employees and students with disabilities.
• Promotion of access to information that is comparable to the access available to those without disabilities.
